The Vox Borders series has six small documentaries presented in a visually stunning, scrolling website. The stories include brief geographical site and situation factors, data-visualized demographic data, animated maps, and 10-15 minute video documentaries that explains the border situation.

Last year, I integrated the Haiti/Dominican story during the political unit and it hit on a bunch of different topics we were discussing; post-colonial legacies, environmental refugees, racism, contrasting developing vs. underdeveloped countries, plantations, and of course boundary types. I’m excited to find that a second series is in production.
